How does your agency differ from other agencies?

Our financial investigative experience of over 50+ years provides Sage investigation with an understanding of most financial matters, specifically criminal income tax investigation. This understanding allows us to work with the attorney for the client. Generally, the CPA firm that represents a client by preparing tax returns or providing consulting services will be a witness in the case brought by the IRS. Sage is independent and objective about the matter and provides a confidential view covered by the attorney-client privilege. The attorney work product rule covers any analysis or reports.

What experience do you have with forensic accounting?

Sage Investigation has a combined 50+ years of investigating complex financial matters and has conducted many investigations that entail the use of forensic financial analysis, interviewing, and computer forensics to develop a complete picture of the subject of the investigation.

Does your agency conduct Computer Forensics?

Yes, Sage has a close relationship with a computer forensics specialist who is experienced and licensed who will provide our clients with the most current computer forensics involving desktop, laptop computers, cell phones and other data repositories.

What experience do you have with handling volumes of records?

Generally cases in which Sage is retained include volumes of financial records in the form of paper or electronic data. Sage has developed techniques to handle large volumes of records. Our techniques create inventories, scan the records and convert them into a database that renders reports into spreadsheets for analyses.

What kind of process do you use to analyze the records?

Since most of our analysis involves financial information we follow money through the use of DIO. DIO is a proprietary database software technology that renders reports in Excel, allowing actual documents and data to be searched by keywords and viewed.

Yes, Sage uses data from various sources to locate and interview witnesses for our clients.

What can I expect if I recommend Sage Investigations to our client?

First of all, your firm will always retain your client. Sage is only engaged to the end of the matter. You can expect Sage Investigations to assist your client and their attorney in their defense. They can expect a detailed and confidential investigation of the matter, interviews of witness, development of evidence and a timely and well written report of our findings.

How much do you charge?
