Chief Investigator Edmond J. Martin, CFE, TCI has testified in both Federal District Courts and State Court on a number of occasions. Prior to retirement for IRS CID, Martin testified for the government as a summary witness and as a fact witness. Since retirement Martin has testified for a special prosecutor in an embezzlement case, and was prepare to testify in a murder case to help establish an embezzlement that lead to a murder. He has testified in arbitration during a divorce case and for the establishment of damages in an equity arbitration. Martin has testified for the defense in a number of Federal criminal trial and hearings. Martin’s CV is available upon request.
Martin has investigated and reviewed a number of cases as a consulting expert in which the cases settled prior to requiring court testimony. These cases all required the review of extensive financial records and required detailed report preparation for the courts both as a plaintiff’s and as a defendant’s expert witness. The case reports involved theft, embezzlement, construction fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, mortgage fraud, Ponzi schemes, income tax defense, inadequate representation of counsel, and divorce asset settlement and financial analysis.
